REDHANDED is a collaborative team, composed of creators Melanie Windle and Rosanna Saracino, Damion Pohl, and their partners.

melanie windle Producer, (BFA, MFA)

Melanie is a filmmaker and theatre maker originally from Calgary, and the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of REDHANDED film & theatre. Melanie has worked as a producer, choreographer, writer and performer for stage and screen. She has produced numerous short films and music videos for broadcast (domestic and international markets, and multiplatform). Some of her favorite theatre credits include: DEATH: A COMEDY, LA VICIOUS, and THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES.

Her most recent film, KILL BRASS, Kill Brass.com is presently on the festival circuit. Melanie’s two BravoFact funded shorts are …THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT, starring Evelyn Hart, and KISSES IN THE NIGHT starring jazz sensation Terra Hazelton. Soon to be released are two features she co-produced, REVERIE, and ENGLISH BUTLER, MASALA CHAI. Melanie has several features and docs in development with Canadian producing partners and is a recent graduate of the Canadian Film Center ‘s Producer’s Lab.

rosanna saracino Director, (MFA Directing, York U.)

Italian-Canadian director, Rosanna Saracino, has directed, written, and produced for the big and small screen and for the stage. She is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of REDHANDED film and theatre. Some theatre credits (director) include: 30 Dates by Fenulla Jiwani (Dancemakers, Living Arts Centre, FactoryTheatre), The Vagina Monologues (Jane Mallet); new play creations including: twisted (inspired by Oliver Twist); de sade (inspired by the life and times of the Marquis de Sade); DEATH: a comedy (Motel, in association with One Yellow Rabbit, Calgary).

Some of her film and television credits include “Kisses in the Night” featuring Jeff Healey’s former protégé, Terra Hazelton ,“…things that go bump in the night”, featuring former RWB principle dancer Evelyn Hart in her acting debut (16mm, airing on Bravo!) The Ring (featured at Hysteria Festival);, pilot episode for Gears TV “The Gears meet Mother Superior”, and Hot Sauce. Currently, she is producing, directing, writing and hosting a segment for Catwalk Chronicles Canada, TRENDS: the origins of today’s latest fashions.

Damion has been involved in the film/TV industry for ten years. He has worked with The Outdoor Life Network, Much Music, CTV, CityTV, Tricon and many contract and independent producers. Damion joined the REDHANDED team in late 2005 when he edited The One, The Ring, and Hot Sauce, among others. As resident editor and post-production supervisor he is deeply involved in the film dept of REDHANDED.

For the past two years, Damion has been responsible for the design and post of the majority of CEOTV, Real Investments TV, and all the episodes of Inside Fashion. He is currently developing three new television shows including FaceTime with host Steve Prentice and Catwalk Chronicles featuring hosts John Filomena and Rosanna Saracino.
